Renal Cell Carcinoma with Sarcomatoid differentiation

Clinical History: 59-year-old male with renal mass of the left kidney with possible vein thrombosis.

Histology: The tumor shows focal areas with definitive high grade clear cell features (left hand side of figure B) merging into the sarcomatoid tumor. Figure A shows abnormal spindle cells with nuclear polymorphism and multiple mitotic figures suggestive of sarcomatoid architecture.
